William "Bill" Tilley Sr. Obituary

William "Bill"  Isaac Tilley Sr. a United States Marine Corps Veteran went home to be with our Savior on Thursday Nov 11, 2021 at the Hershel "Woody" Williams VA medical center in Huntington.

Bill was born on July 19, 1948 in Milam, he was the son of the late Isaac and Norma Tilley.

Bill grew up in Delaware and at the age of 17 joined the United States Marine Corp where served selflessly during the Vietnam war. Upon returning home he resided in Delaware before later coming home to WV. Bill poured his heart and soul into his wife and 3 boys. He saw the good in everyone. Through the years he spent most evenings at a football, baseball, or a basketball game. He loved coaching and never met a stranger. He had such an impact on teh community and touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Dana Tilley, and two sisters Joyce Nicholson, and Irene Lisinski and his brother in law Johnny Di Maio.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Vallery Tilley of the Home, his three sons Jonathon Tilley of Princeton, Bill Tilley Jr. and his partner Rhonda Neece and son Remington of Pineville, and Joshua Tilley of the Home.  Two sisters Patricia Sampson and her husband John, and Sandy DiMaio, both of Newark DE.
