Watsie Elaine Hill, 96, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born December 17, 1927, in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Goode and Lillian Meadows Goode.

Watsie was a member of Rockcastle Baptist Church for over eighty years. She loved to sing and enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and going to Montcove Lake. She never missed Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune and liked to watch WVU sports on TV.  Her favorite past time by far was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Ira “Junior” Hill Jr; a grandson, Jerry Steven Hill and nine brothers and sisters.

She will be dearly missed by her three children, Jerry Hill and wife Sandy, Doug Hill and Angie Stewart and husband Gary; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Lloyde Goode; special friends, Rick, Shirley and Billy Jewell and Janice Van Hoy; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved church family.
