Terry Osborne

Terry Randall Osborne, 74, of Cyclone, WV, made his final journey home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 11, 2021, from his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born February 24, 1947, the son of the late Alda and Florence Harvey Osborne of Cyclone, WV.  Terry was a 1965 graduate of Oceana High School, a member of the Campus Church of God, a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War, a member of Masonic Lodge #138, Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard, and past president of the Cyclone Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors. He was a retired supervisor of Eastern Associated Coal Company/Peabody Coal.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his baby sister, Toni Lesa Osborne, and his eldest sister, Patricia Paynter, his brothers-in-law, Roger Paynter, Arnie Ratliff, Ronnie Abbott, Glenn Robertson, Ernie Bailey, and James Lusk.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Darlene Osborne, his sons, John (Misty) Osborne and Tony Osborne of Lakeland, FL, Levi Crider and Jamie Crider of Cyclone, WV, his daughter, Florence Missy (Michael) Harris of Sophia, WV, and his three grandchildren, Austin Osborne, Julia Osborne, and Luke Harris.  In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Jackie Ratliff, Margaret Abbott, Vickie (Lucian) Brown, and Jody Osborne all of Cyclone, WV, and Sharon Robertson of Davin, WV, sisters-in-law, Beulah Lusk of Cyclone, WV and Yvonne Belcher of Champlain, NY, brothers-in-law, Wilburn (Eva) and Pierce (Linda) Bailey of Davin, WV, Doug Bailey of Myra, WV, Dewey Bailey of Charleston, WV, and Kennith Joe (Pamela) Bailey of Venice, FL, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated nurses and personnel of Hospice of Southern West Virginia who were caring angels contributing tremendously to Terry’s dignified and peaceful final journey home.  

Pallbearers taking Dad and Uncle Terry to his final resting place are John Osborne, Tony Osborne, Levi Crider, Jamie Crider, Mike Abbott, Mark Abbott, and Joe Ratliff.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul Robertson, Nicholas Robertson, Austin Osborne, and Luke Harris.
