Suzanne Ilene Thompson

Some people walk this earth for a short time, their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us.

Last week on January 12th at 1:45 AM, Suzanne Ilene Thompson, known to many as Susie, received her wings in heaven.  Susie was a compassionate loving Mom, Sister, Grandmother and a great Friend to many. Born to Ruby Lively and Golden Lively on August 3rd, 1954.  Susie moved to West Virginia in 1974 and married her beloved husband, Michael Ray Thompson, who was the love of her life, predeceased her in 2009. She has missed him greatly since, and has joined him in heaven.  Susie is survived by her only son, Michael “Shannon” Thompson and his wife, Angela.  Susie has two brothers, Leondis Lively and Roger Lively, a sister Velma Rife who is predeceased and a dear friend John Rife; grandchildren, Katelin Thompson, Leland Thompson, two bonus grandchildren Alyssa and Johnny; along with nieces and nephews.

Susie was a woman of strong Faith. She was very loved by many, a special soul that put others first always. There was no mistaking the genuine love and compassion held in her heart.

In the last few years, her health declined quickly, yet prior to that she very much enjoyed her flowers, her many whatnots, musical chimes, and her very loved dog Max (also predeceased). 

Her passing leaves a deep hole in our hearts, her loving and caring soul will never ever be forgotten.
