Sidney Ellis (Buddy) Cook Jr.

Sidney Ellis "Buddy" Cook Jr. went home to be with his Lord on Sunday September 11, 2022. 

Born January 28, 1953 in Welch, he was the son of the late Sidney Ellis Cook Sr. and Nannie Elizabeth Farley McComas.

Buddy was coal miner for many years, working at Keystone #2 in Herndon. He loved being outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, and walking the riverbank fishing. Buddy was loved by so many, and he will be missed. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Church, and his brother Eddie Cook.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers and sisters Dwight D. Cook, Tommy Cook, Todd McComas, Nannie McComas, and Marie Cook Shirley, and a host of nieces, nephews and countless friends.
