Russell "Tommy" Thomas Carothers

Russell "Tommy" Thomas Carothers passed away on Sunday November 22, 2020.

Born February 23, 1945 in Sabine he was the son of the late Edward Merrill and Charlotte Phoebe Carothers. 

Tommy was a coal miner for many years, he then began and ran a very successful lawn care business until his death. He loved his dogs, Bear Dog, and Chester, and was very devoted to his family. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Michael Carothers , his brothers and sisters Bob, George, Alice, Carl, Estil, and Orville Carothers, and Delores Bowling. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 33 years Louise Altizer Carothers, 3 daughters Donna and Johnny Privett of NC, Dana and Mike Hofe of Oak Hill, and Denise and Roger Myers of Rock View, his brother-in-law Roger Altizer of Rock View, his siblings Mike and Charlotte Hafle, and Helen and Steve Watson, both of Florida, and Dorothy Wyatt of Va, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends. 

Private Burial services were held at Palm Memorial Gardens, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
