Roy William Green

Now unto God our Father be the glory for ever and ever, Amen- Philippians. 4:20. On July 24,2023,Roy William Green ,87,of Brenton, departed this life at Bowers Hospice House surrounded by his family. Born in Welch November 19, 1935, he was the son of late Willie and Sylvia Dixon Green. Grandparents were Andy and Sarah Green. He was the oldest grandchild of William and Della Tilly Dixon. Roy was a member of the Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church at Saulsville and attended as long as he was able. He enjoyed hunting, working in his yard and spending time with his family. He retired form Dominion Gas, at Brenton. In addition to his parents and grandparents he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Miller Green and an infant sister Dorothy, his sister Ina Marie, wife of WH Blankenship, JR and brother Paul and wife Ruth and his father and Mother in-law, Roscoe (Big Bill) Miller and Ella Mae (Craig) Miller. Survivors include daughters, Glenna (Jadan) Jennings of Wyco, WV and Cathy (Mike Kodak) of Pineville ,WV; grandchildren, Michael Kodak of Pineville, WV; Chasidy (Brandon Walter) of Princeton ,WV, Marty and Caleb Jennings of Wyco, WV; Luke Spencer, Sydney Kodak and Ava Walter; 3 Brothers John (Pat) Green of Key Rock, Lonnie Green (Vivan) of Pineville and Ted Green (Vicky) of Pineville two sisters, Norma (Bill Bryant) of Princeton, WV; and Bonnie (Matthew Murry) of Pineville ,WV,
