Roy William Armstrong

Roy William Armstrong 75, of Glen Rogers, passed away on April 28, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born September 22, 1947 in Glen Rogers he was the son of the late Pete and Vida Browning Armstrong.

Roy was a loving husband, father and friend. Everyone who met Roy knew of his love for his family and his steady faith in God. He was a retired mailman having worked for over 24 years without missing a day. Roy would be seen picking up trash along the highway after work and after church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Lester Armstrong, his sister Jean Tilley, Two brothers-in-law Charles Griffith, and Jim Richardson.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his loving wife of 51 years Francis “Pat” Armstrong, his daughter Angelia Armstrong Brown and her husband Rick. His precious grand daughter LaShaya Brown and three grandson’s Addrick, Jace, and Bentlee Brown. Two sisters Ruth Griffith of Clear Fork, and Mary Richardson of Beckley, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
