Robert David Riffe II

Robert David Riffe II, 52, passed away unexpectedly at is home Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Born December 9, 1970 in Welch, WV, he was the son of Robert David Riffe and Alfreda Newcomb Riffe.

Robert worked as a coal miner since 2010, he was working at Speed Mining, a subsidiary of Blackhawk Mining, LLC at the time of his passing.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and baseball; he and Denise especially enjoyed spending time outdoors with their horses.. Robert was a member of Masonic Lodge #138 and will have full Masonic graveside rites. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Lottie Riffe and his maternal grandparents, U.S. and Joann Newcomb.

Robert will be deeply missed by his parents, Alfreda Riffe and Robert and Mary Riffe; his loving wife, Denise England Riffe; his daughter, Olivia Katherine “Katie” Riffe; stepson, Nicholas Ryan Cook;  sister, Melissa O’Neil; stepbrother, Roger “Dink” Mullins; and his special niece, Megan O’Neil.
