A man of faith, Ricky Allen Vance 66, of Pineville passed away with his family by his side at his home on Thursday February 10, 2022.
He was born on August 8, 1955 in Richlands Va, he was the son of the late Alexander Vance, and Helen Smith.
Ricky was a retired coal miner from US steel and loved playing music. He enjoyed riding his side by side with his best bud Connie Jewell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Sue Vance, three brothers Roger Vance, Alexander Vance Jr. and Edward Vance. Two sisters Deloris Roberts, and Phylis Chapman. A step-son Mark Payne II.
He was a deacon at the Kopperston Free Will Baptist Church,
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Bonnie Vance of the Home. Two sons: Ricky Allen Vance Jr. and Mickey Vance of Turkey Creek. Two daughters Christy Lynn Stanley (Bryan) of Pineville. Telisha Roland (Harold) of Chilhowie Va. Eight Grandsons: Austin Stanley, Hunter Stanley, and Braxton Stanley of Pineville, Cameron and Brandon Vance of New Jersey, Payton Vance of Turkey Creek, Harold Dean Roland of Chilhowie Va. Braiden Marshall of Bradshaw. Three Grand daughters: Shayla Roland and Kayla Roland of Chilhowie Va, and Maddie Marshall of Bradshaw. Two brothers: Arnold Vance (Judy) of Pineville, Wayne Vance (Diana) of Jesse, Sister-in-laws: Kathy Jewell (Connie) of Bradshaw, Arlene Davis (Raymond) of Nashville Tn, and Barbara Vance of Alabama. Brothers-in-laws: Donald Kenney (Frances) and Claude Church of Bradshaw, and his Grand Dog Matt of Chilhowie Va.
Over the last six years he has gained and extended family that he loved dearly. Leann (Charlie) Auville, Baleigh Auville, Opie Auvulle Jewelee Ann Auville, Courtney Jewell (Justin Sutherland) Kaci and Kenzie Day.
Services will be Sunday February 13, 2022 at 1pm in the chapel of Evans-Calfee Funeral Service with Rev. Raybon Cook and Rev. Chester Ball officiating.
Friends may gather with the family on Saturday February 12, 2022 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Family and Friends will serve as pall bearers.
He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
