Pearl Lester Farley, 89, went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2025. Born January 18, 1936, Pearl was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha Lester. Pearl was a long-time member of the Pineville Church of God where she attended until her health no longer allowed. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, working on the farm, quilting, and bird watching. Pearl loved frogs, she enjoyed collecting anything with a frog on it, even rocks with frogs painted on them. She treasured her dog, Penny, who was her loyal companion and always by her side.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Alvin Farley. One son, Jeff Farley. One brother, Highland Lester. Two sisters: Mood Newcomb and Ilene Lester, and two brothers-in-law, Herman Riffe and Pedro Newcomb.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard Lee Farley and his wife Judy. Her daughter, Tina Farley and companion Dale Cook. Two grandchildren, Jennifer Farley and her companion Dusty Sparks, and Sabrina Musick. Two sisters, Lakie Riffe and Gail Lester. One brother-in-law, Ernie Lester, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The funeral will be held Friday, February 7 at 1:00pm at Evans-Calfee Funeral Service Chapel in Pineville. Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to the service. Pearl will be laid to rest in the Farley Cemetery in Pineville.
