Norma Dalene Lester

Norma Dalene Lester, 74, of York, SC, formerly of Key Rock, passed away peacefully, Thursday July 13, 2023. Born September 13,1948 in Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Loy and Norma Adkins Lester.
Norma was a nurse for thirty- five years, having worked at Welch Emergency Hospital and White Oak Manor in York, SC, where she was working when she retired. Her passion was taking care of people. Norma loved tending to her flowers or listening to blue grass music. She enjoyed family reunions where she was surrounded by the people she loved. Her family, especially her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael ; sisters, Judy Kinser, Kay Orndorff and Helen Couburn; brothers, Vern, Wayne and Michael Lester.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Danny Lee Orndorff and his wife Melissa of York, SC; daughter, Norma Dodson and her husband, Danny, of York, SC; grandchildren, Angie, Amy, Jordynn,  Andrew, Michael Lee, McKeana, Arabella, Daniel and Jonathon; great grandchildren, Matthew, Hayley, Ian, Britton and Jacob; great great grandchildren, Weston and a baby girl on the way; brothers, Barry and Gene Lester; sisters, Edie Workman, Donna Lester and Terrie Fatony
