Mitchell Andrew Keene

Mitchell Andrew Keene 77 of Oceana passed away on Monday November 21, 2022 at the Bowers Hospice House. 

Born October 7, 1945 in Russell County Virginia he was the son of the late Rev. Charlie Andrew and Florence Elkins Keene. 

Mitch was retired from Harris Coal, he was a life long member of the NRA and the UMWA. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening and spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Mary Ann Keene, Betty Lou Meadows, Brenda Joan Keene, Ronald Perry Keene and Harley Edward Keene.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Ilene Keene, brother, James Keene, his step-daughter Sherry Roach, step-grandson Ryan Eldridge. Special Nephews: James "Andy" Keene, and Roger Keene. His cat Bandit and a host of extended family and countless friends.
