Margaret Davis Obituary

Margaret Ann (Trippett) Davis 90, of Pineville went home to be with her Lord on Sunday April 21, 2019, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. 

She was born March 17, 1929, at Myrtle, the daughter of the late James Hollis and Osa Estep Trippett. 

Mrs. Davis was an active member of Cook Memorial Baptist Church and the American Baptist Women. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years in the Primary and Middlers Department. 

She was an elementary school teacher, having retired from the Wyoming county Board of Education in 1988 with 38 years of service; 32 years in Wyoming county and 7 years in Mingo County. She was a lifetime member of the West Virginia Association of Retired School Employees and also a member of the Wyoming County Retired School Employees. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Frank C. Davis, 2 infant sisters, Mary Jane and Alice Marie, Vesta Louise Trippett Smith and one brother Henry Trippett, nephews Jimmy Smith, and Robby Venturino, 

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews including Tami Mosley and Gary, Kim Aliff (Rick), Karen Cox (Ken) Bill Trippett, Linda Pauley (Gary), David Brown, Kelly Knowlton. Great-nephew Jacob Venturino (Ashley), and a great-great nephew Levi Venturino, and a host of church family and countless friends. 

Services will be 1pm Thursday April 25, 2019 at Cook Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Reid officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11am until service time Thursday at the church. Following the service she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley.  Men of the church will serve as he pallbearers.
