Lucian Brown

Lucian C Brown, 76, went to his Heavenly home Sunday, December 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

 Born June 4, 1948, in Cyclone, WV, he was the son of the late Mathers Brown and Martha Bailey Brown.

Lucian was a lifelong, faithful servant of the Lord. He served as Pastor of the Russell Missionary Baptist Church from 1988 until his health would no longer allow him.

He was a member of the UMWA and worked in several different coal mines throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodwork, and most of all, watching his grandchildren play sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Vickie Osborne Brown (who passed away just eleven months ago), his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alda and Florence Osborne, and siblings: Lonnie Brown, Laurence brown, Lanta Brown, Irene Brown, Imogene Lusk, Ronnie Brown, Roma Brown, Earnest Brown, and Gaye Workman

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Marsha Copley and husband Larry, Thomas Brown and wife Maria, and Amber Halsey and husband Harold; six grandchildren, Tyler Copley and wife Morgan, Abby Brown and fiancé Bryce Nelson, Trevor Copley, Tiffany Morgan and husband Christian, Emilee Halsey, and Benji Brown; a great-grandchild (baby Morgan), due in July; his sister, Joyce Webb and husband Carlos; and his much beloved church family.
