Lola Mae (Day) Tilley, 88, of Glen Fork went home to be with our Savior on Friday, November 26, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in her home.
Born July 17, 1933 in Glen Fork, she was the Daughter of the late Edgar Estel and Stella Mary (Turner) Day.
Lola was a member of the Glen Fork Church of God where she was known as the “mother” of the church. She was an avid supporter of her church and the Ministry to Israel. She loved to sew and make quilts and enjoyed cooking. She spent hours reading her Bible. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and with her precious dog, Zelda. Those who knew Lola know that she dedicated her life to raising her children and serving the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Waymen Tilley; her sons, Lawrence and Billy Joe Tilley; her brothers and sisters, Junior, Gayellen, Thelma, Madgelene and Frankie; her sons in law, Robert “Patch Eye” Bailey and Ricky Frazier.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlotte Bailey, Charles “Chick” Tilley, David Tilley and his wife Teresa, Carlos “Fatty” Tilley and his wife Susie, Randy Tilley, Rose Mary Frazier, Sharon Church, Barbara “Bobbi” Jones and her husband Andy, Nancy Newsome and her husband Bobby, and Lisa Trump and her husband Tim; more than fifty grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Hospice and their wonderful staff for the tremendous care they provided to our Mother. In lieu of flowers, you may honor Lola with a donation to the Ministry of Israel.
