Linda Stewart Obituary

Linda Joyce Stewart, 81, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, in Hot Springs, VA.

Born April 15, 1942, in Cedar Grove, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Altizer, Sr. and Elva Graham Altizer.

Linda enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking and listening to Vince Gill. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Altizer, Jr. and a sister, Juanita Lester.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of sixty-nine years, Cecil Stewart; her six children, Gerald Stewart, Sheri McMillion and husband Kevin, Regina Blake and husband Nick, Tracy Sewart and wife Melinda, Beverly Fralin and Roger Altizer; seven grandchildren, Cassie, Megan, Drew, Ericia, Sandra, Delayni and Conner; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings, Louise Carothers, Frazier Altizer and George Altizer; special friends, she loved as sons, Jimmy Browning and Teddy Hazelton; a host of extended family; and countless friends.

In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
