Lillie Gladys Carothers

Lillie Gladys Lester Cox Carothers went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

Born March 5, 1929 in Keyrock, WV, she was the daughter of the late Abe Lester and Nancy Simpson Lester.

Gladys was a lifetime member of Coon Fork Church in Keyrock.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Romie Cox, her second husband, Bob Carothers; two daughters, Linda Cable and Dreama Carothers; a son, Bobby Dale Carothers; a grandson, Michael Cable; a grand daughter Patty Cable,  brothers, Troy, Loy, Richard, Roy, Calvin and Doc Lester; and sisters, Oma Britton, Peachie Henson and Dolly Lamb.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Ruth O’Neal and Jeannie Cook and husband, Tommy; sister, Mandy Toler and husband, Bob; daughter-in-law, Martha Carothers; grandchildren, James O’Neal and Kris, Tammy and AJ Morgan, Regina and Jeff Smallwood, Tammy and Keith Brown, Jamie Cable, Ryan and Chandra Carothers, Alston Carothers and Alex Carothers; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Brittany, Christopher, Josh, Peyton, Julie, Cody and Shane; and great-great grandchildren, Boyce, Adiley and Kylie.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern West Virginia in Beckley for the care and love that was shown to Gladys.
