Leo J. Rutten, of Saulsville, WV passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
He was born in Zonhoven, Belgium on October 12, 1937.
Leo's work had him traveling to numerous countries and states. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. His two passions in life were his work and his animals. He will be greatly missed but the memories will be cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Hubertina Fraiponts Rutten and a sister, Miet Follon.
Survivors include his wife of fifty one years, Sherry Tolliver Rutten; son, Patrick Rutten and wife Amanda; daughter, Christina and companion, Sarah Cooper; granddaughters, Peyton, Morgane and Piper Rutten, all of Saulsville; brothers, Jean, Michael and Simon and sisters, Paula Loos and Martha Putzeys, all of Belgium.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
