Lacy Garland Cox

Lacy Garland Cox Jr, 75, of Corinne, WV went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born on April 24,1950 in Pineville, WV and was the son of the late Lacy Garland Cox, Sr and Betty Simpson.

He enjoyed being a coal miner most of his life, with so many great coworkers, friends and stories.  Lacy always met you with a greeting, a smile, and love them Cowboys (cowgirls), Browns, Reds, Duke, and Ohio State. Our dad so enjoyed his time in the woods coon hunting and fishing the New River. His memory will live on as long as the stories he told.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Michelle Cox, Lacy Cox III (Melinda), Joshua Cox (Ali), and Jonathan Cox. His beloved grandchildren and sidekicks are Corey McGuire (Brittany), Gabe Cox, Andrew Cox, and Lili Cox.  One great-grandchild Ava McGuire.

Graveside rites will be conducted by Pastor Stevie Campbell on Friday, October 17, 2025,12pm at Cooks Chapel Cemetery, Keyrock . Pallbearers will be Lacy Cox, Joshua Cox, Jonathan Cox, Corey McGuire, Timmy Church, and Roger Reed.
