Judith C Farley

Judith Christine Ross Farley, of Pineville, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in the home of her son and daughter-in-law after a long illness. Born November 24, 1944, Judy was preceded in death by her father Orville R. Ross, her mother Edythe R. Ross, and a multitude of beloved animal friends with whom she shared her heart and home for many, many years. She is survived by her husband Richard Farley, her sister Betsy Ross, her son Tim Lupardus and his wife Paula, her grandchildren Josie Cunningham, Justin Lester, Joey Lupardus and Gabby Lupardus, her great grandchild, Kylen Gabriel Lester and many life-long friends. Judy graduated from Pineville High School and obtained her college degree at Morris Harvey in Charleston. She returned to Wyoming County as a school teacher at both Baileysville High and Pineville Middle schools. In retirement, she and Richard moved to their mountain sanctuary amidst the nature she loved. Judy was a member of the Eastern Star, the Pineville Presbyterian and United Methodist churches, and worked part time in both her father's State Farm office and for local veterinarian clinics. Judy touched lives softly and with kindness, love and authenticity, often demonstrating that the smallest act outweighs the greatest of intentions. Were she the one writing this obituary, she would remind anyone reading that there are 86,400 seconds in each day and to enjoy every single one of them. She requests that there be no flowers but that people instead use whatever money they'd spend on that to do or get something they will enjoy. Judy was laid to rest privately, as she wanted, amidst the beauty of the mountain lands she called home
