Heaven is a more beautiful place…Joseph Manuel Paynter, the loving husband of Dorothy Paynter for almost fifty years, the love of her life, was released from his pain and suffering and went home to be with the Lord. He was peacefully welcomed by Jesus at 3:55 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital.
He loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a member of Pineville Church of God, where he enjoyed serving as a Lay Speaker, being Superintendent, teaching, singing and worshipping the Lord.
Born August 21, 1951 in Davin, he was the son of the late Calvin and Mary Gaye Paynter.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his only son, Malcolm Shawn Paynter; sisters, Lois Brown and Carole Cook; and a brother, Robert Paynter.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Paynter of Pineville; three grandchildren, Skylie Miller, Adam Miller and Eliyanah Paynter; daughter-in-law, Ericka Paynter of Parkersburg; two sisters, Joyce Cook of Cleveland, TN and Kathleen Walker and husband, James of Kopperston; a brother, Charles Paynter and wife, Wendy; a sister-in-law, Judy Paynter of Lynchburg, VA; and a host of loving family and friends.
