Johnny Lee Crouse, 77, of Clear Fork, departed this life on December 18, 2024. Johnny was born April 24, 1947, to Levi Crouse and Lois Haney Crouse.
Johnny proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a successful career in the natural gas pipeline industry with Dominican, where his dedication and skill left a lasting impact. A talented welder, Johnny took great pride in his craft and found joy in working with his hands. He was an avid outdoorsman and cherished time spent in nature. He particularly enjoyed ginsenging and fishing. Beyond his personal hobbies, he was deeply committed to his community. Johnny had a passion for coaching youth sports and was instrumental in founding the Baileysville Little League, where he inspired countless young athletes through his leadership and encouragement. Johnny’s life was marked by hard work, service, and a love for the outdoors. His contributions to his community and the lives he touched will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Gail Crouse. Two brothers: David Crouse and Charles Crouse. One sister, Eva Addair, and one niece, Elizabeth Crouse.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three sons: Brian Crouse and his wife Lori, Stephen Crouse, and Danny Crouse. Nine grandchildren: Stephen Crouse II, Kelsey Crouse, Emily Egan, Joseph Crouse, David Crouse, Phillip Crouse, Mary Grace Crouse, Levi Crouse, and Logan Crouse. Five great-grandchildren, and his longtime friend and companion, Yvonne Simpkins. Lifelong friends, his brother and sister-in-law- Jerry and Pam Helmandollar, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
