John E Sizemore

John Sizemore, 77, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 8, 1945 in Ostego, WV, he was the son of the late John Riley Sizemore and Irene Tilley Sizemore.

John was a veteran of the US Army and a disabled coal miner. He was a longtime, faithful member of Cooper Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Ruth “Cricket” Sizemore; an infant son, James Carl Sizemore and a sister, Phyllis Cline.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two children, Tom Sizemore and wife, Shawna and Vicki Powell and husband, Richard; three grandchildren, Jonathan Sizemore and wife, Jamie, Justin Sizemore and Jessica Sizemore; two great-grandchildren, Remington and McKenzie; siblings, Kenneth Sizemore and wife, Betty, Jimmy Sizemore and wife, Shirlene, Micky Sizemore and wife, Kathy, Dennis Sizemore and wife, Sherri, Bonnie Farlow and husband, Jerry, Gayle Travis, Frances Hensley and husband, Steve, Glenna Farlo and husband, Charlie and Joyce Kirk; a host of nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
