James "Jamie" Everett Mink

James Everett (Jamie) Mink, 41, of New Richmond, passed away at home on April 11, 2021.  Born August 5, 1979, in Beckley, West Virginia, he was the beloved son of Nancy Fletcher Young and the late Charles Mink.  Jamie was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ronald Young; maternal grandfather, Everett Fletcher; paternal grandparents, Jim Bob and Charlotte Mink; and his dog Brutus.  In addition to his mother, Nancy Fletcher Young, and her companion, Michael Miller, Jamie is survived by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Fletcher; sister Christie (Jason) Adkins; uncles Calvin Fletcher and Fred Browning; nieces Maddie Mink and Jayce Adkins; nephew Justin Browning; best friend Lindsay Reklis; and his canine buddy, Baker.  He is also survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  Jamie attended Pineville High School and Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and was a talented musician whose passion was music.  As per his wishes, Evans-Calfee Funeral Home in Pineville will be in charge of cremation arrangements.  A memorial service will be held in June (date TBA) at the Mullens Opportunity Center (MOC) with Dr. Arnold Simonse officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a celebration of Jamie’s life during which all wishing to play music in his honor will be invited to participate.
