James "Bimbo" McCracken Obituary

James "Bimbo" Merton McCracken 69, of Pineville went home to be with his Lord on Monday February 8. 2021 following a long illness. 

Born March 5, 1951 in Pineville he was the son of the late James R. and Nocle Beverley McCracken. 

Bimbo was a retired coal miner with over 34 years of service. He was a member and also a Deacon, at the Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, in Sabine. Bimbo love to hunt, fish, and just being outside. He spent several years coaching Pineville Little League, and Pee - Wee Football, he also umpired numerous little league games, and umpired in Little League games around the state. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three Brothers: Everette McCracken, Denver McCracken, and Duke McCracken.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 51 years Novella Smith McCracken, he was the best dad to his two children: Clarisa (Woody) Scarbro and Dallas (Kasey) McCracken both of Beckley. His pride and joy was his grandchildren: Olivia and Samuel McCracken, Hayden Tincher, and Gavin Lambert, his sister-in-law, Peggy McCracken, and a host of countless friends and extended family.
