James Harrison Morgan Jr.

James Harrison Morgan, Jr., 49, of Pineville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday,
September 8, 2022, at his home. He was born on August 14, 1973, in Mullens, WV. He was the son of
James Harrison Morgan, Sr., and Mary Sizemore Morgan.
To know James was to love him. James was a 1991, graduate of Pineville High School. He was well
known on social media for his quick wit and his memes. If there wasn’t a meme for something he would
make one. He was well known over the years for his love of music and movies and his vast collection of
both. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite driver Kevin Harvick. James was
crazy about his nieces and nephews and loved nothing better than spending time with them and his
other family. He also really enjoyed front porch sittin’ with his special aunt Teresa Trent. He will be
missed by all that knew him.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Polly Sizemore, Harrison and Ruby Morgan,
and numerous other members of his family. In addition to his parents those left to cherish James’s
memory are a sister Misty Cook Ellis (Mike), nieces Mekensi Hedrick (Clayton), Stevy Kirkland, Kylie
Kirkland, Brooke Ellis (Tanner), nephews Brayden Ellis, Kaden Ellis, Mikey Ellis (Emily), Logan Ellis, great
nephews Deagen Hedrick, Denver Ellis, Dallas Ellis, aunts, Teresa Trent, Sherry Morgan, Kathy Jeffery
(Mark), Connie White (John), Janice Smith (Terry), uncles Jesse Sizemore, Arvil Jessie, Arnold Goins,
cousins Sherri Lynn Bland (Tommy), Carla Carter (Reece), Jason Sizemore (Nora), Mandy Goins (Donnie),
Joni Struckman (Eric), Jesseca Adkins (Jason), Tara Trent (AJ), Kelley Ball, Janet Matthews (Robert), Kristi
Goins, Scott Morgan (Kathy), Ryan Morgan (April),and Jeremy Morgan.  Special cousin Lee Lester, Jr. (Renotta), special friend
Elizabeth Green, and a host of other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 o’clock on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in the Chapel of Evans Calfee
Funeral Service, Pineville, WV, with Rev Michael Knotts officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm
Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 noon until time of the
service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Reece Carter, Tommy Bland, Jason Adkins,
Jason Sizemore, Austin Ball, Jacob Ball, and Clayton Hedrick. Honorary pallbearers will be AJ Hatfield,
Lee Lester, Jr., and Mike Ellis. The family is being served by Evans Calfee Funeral Service, Pineville, WV.
