Jack Lambert, 89 of Pineville, passed away Saturday March 13, 2021. Born October 4, 1931 in Pineville, he was the son of the late John Samuel Lambert Sr. and Lettie Goode Lambert.
Jack was a seventy year member of the Wyoming County Fire Company. He joined the Pineville Fire Department in 1946 and was appointed Fire Chief in 1960. He served as Fire Chief until 2017. Jack was named Chief Emeritus in 2017. He served as Wyoming County Circuit Clerk for sixteen years. During this time he took pride in making sure the courthouse clock remained running. Jack was the service manager for City Auto for twenty- five years. He was a member of the Pineville United Methodist Church. Jack was an avid gardener and woodworker.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, son, Matthew and brother, Sam Lambert Jr. DDS.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jack Lambert Jr. of Saulsville and Laura McKinney and her husband Pat Of Keyrock; grandson, Cameron Scott McKinney; sister, Christine Ferguson and her husband Jerry of Richmond VA; nieces, Monica Lambert, Heather Trisler Reed and devoted caregiver, Rachael Bailey; nephew Jason Trisler.
In keeping with his wishes Jack will be cremated and private family service will be held at a later date.
