Ivy Adkins, 63, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Raleigh General Hospital, following a long illness.
Born November 2, 1960, in Lenore, NC, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Lovejoy and Wanda McGee Lovejoy.
Ivy loved being a nurse and taking care of people. She was an herbalist and enjoyed gardening. She absolutely loved camping at Red Rock Campground in Forrest Hill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her daughter, Jessica Adkins; two grandchildren, Karson and Brooklyn; her mother and father-in-law, Estel and Maggie Adkins; and her great-grandmother, Lois Ellis.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of forty-five years, Estel Adkins, Jr; four children, Jamie Roberts and husband Tracy, Josh Adkins, Jaclyn Adkins and Julie Stevens and husband Luke; eleven grandchildren, Katlyn Perry and husband Matthew, Tracy Roberts Jr, Matthew Adkins, Chase Osborne, Rylan Adkins, Keegan and Kaylee Graley, Kinsley Cline, Wade Stevens, Willow Stevens and Westin Stevens; three great-grandchildren, Tucker Perry, Westin Adkins and Whitley Adkins; a brother, Jeff Lovejoy; a sister, Jennifer Sizemore; and special friends, whom she loved as family, Eva Wayman, Frankie Wayman, Dawn and Kylie Wayman and the Rev. Bill Goode.
