India Lynn Bernard Vance Stallsmith 77, of Brenton passed away on Friday May 30, 2025 at her residence.
Born January 4, 1948, in Hazard Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John and Mavis Vanover Bernard.
During her life she was dedicated to taking care of her grandchildren, she loved them, they were her world. She loved to read, do crafts, and taking care of her little dog “Chewy”. She loved her community and enjoyed all her neighbors. Lynn worked for many years at Welch Emergency Hospital as a Lab Tech.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Vance, her second husband Ken Stallsmith, her two brothers Randy Cook, and Bill Cook.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Candace Bishop. Three Grandsons: Gregory Bishop Jr. and his wife Cari, Andrew Bishop and his wife Amanda. And Jacob Bishop and his Fiancé Taylor Thacker. Two Great Grandchildren: Laniey, and Jack Bishop. Two brothers: Frank Cook and Patrick Nutter and his wife Tina. Her sister Claudette Schoolcraft. Her neighbor and dear friend Francis Cantrell, special friend Dan and Cindy Shadd. And her fur baby Chewy.
In keeping with her wishes she has been cremated.
Services celebrating the life of Lynn will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025, at Noon in the Brenton Baptist Church, with Pastor Tommy Knotts officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11am till service time Saturday at the church.
