Harry Jewell

Harry Jewell III, 79, of Pineville, passed away at home on Saturday, February 28, 2026.  Born on May 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Harry Jewell Jr. and Geneva Spence Jewell. Harry was a hard worker and retired from the gas and oil industry after many dedicated years of labor.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and deer hunting.  He painted vehicles as a hobby and was very skilled at it. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Jewell, and one sister, Anita Nood.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Donna Shumate Jewell.  One son, James Sizemore and his wife Sandra of Keyrock, and one daughter, Melissa Sizemore.  Five grandchildren: Sasha Jones, Leighanna Sizemore, Bryleigh Sizemore, Earl Sizemore, and Katherine Sizemore.  Three great-grandchildren: Krimzyn Jones, Srixzyn Jones, and Maizyl Jones. Three brothers: Donald Jewell and his wife Kathy of Princeton, John Jewell and his wife Jill of Statesville, NC, and Kenny Jewell of Mocksville, NC.  One sister, Darlene Brooks of Cleveland, OH, one very special sister-in-law, Vonnie, and a host of extended family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 6 to 8pm.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Evans-Calfee Funeral Service Chapel in Pineville.  Harry will be laid to rest in the Privette Cemetery at Keyrock.
