Harrison Hurley, 51, of Brenton, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his home, following a long battle with lung cancer.
Born November 3, 1973, in Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Buford Hurley and Gertrude Justice Hurley.
Harrison was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Whether it was searching for ginseng or hunting deer and coon, he was always happy in the woods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hassell “Cricket” Hurley, Havy Hurley and Dale Hurley; a sister, Betty Correll; and his father-in-law, George Tomblin.
Harrison is survived by his wife, Penny Hurley; a daughter, Kayla Hurley and his “little buddy” Simba of Brenton; a son, Joshua Tomblin and wife Ashley and their four children, Nevaeh, Brantley, Riley and Ryker, all of Indian Creek; four brothers, Tommy Hurley and wife Tammy of Brenton, Timmy Hurley of Brenton, Mack Hurley of Brenton, and Jimmy Hurley and wife Nadine of Pineville; his mother-in-law, Patricia Tomblin of Indian Creek; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
