Evelyn Cook

Evelyn Cook 93 of Pineville passed away March 17, 2023 after an extended illness. 

Born July 3 1929 in Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Garland Cook Sr. and Flora Jane Pendry Cook.

She was a homemaker all of her life and loved spending time with her family. She always looked forward to listening to Rockcastle Baptist Church broadcast on Sunday mornings. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Ronald Cook, her brothers Buell Cook and Robert Cook, her sisters Audrey Cullup, Anice Blevins, Gladys Williams, and Shirley Morgan. 

Evelyn is survived by her 5 children, Deneice Bledsoe and her husband Gary, Rebecca Cole and her husband Bryan, Cheryl Lyons and her husband Greg, Annette Burton, and Ronda Ridner. Grandchildren, Ian Bledsoe, Josh Lyons and his wife Jessica, Heather McKinney, Ashley Ridner, Nikki Reynolds and Husband Kenny, William Cole, and Kevin Cole. Great -Grandchildren, Autumn Lyons, Mia Bledsoe, and Kaylan Reynolds. 2 Brothers, Arlis Cook, and Garland Cook Jr. 

There will be a private family service. 

The family would like to give a special Thank you to Dr. and Mrs. Dominador Lao, her caregivers who gave unselfishly of their time, patience, and love , Sandra, Amanda, Lana, and Katie, the entire staff Wyoming Nursing and Rehab, and Hospice of Southern West Virginia, and all of the dedicated nurses who were always available when we needed them and so loving and supporting of our mother and our family. 

In lieu of flowers the family ask that Donations be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
