Elsie Lilly Obituary

The worlds’ most amazing mother and grandmother, sister and friend, Elsie Mae Myers Lilly, age 65, of New Richmond, passed away on Sunday June 7, 2020 surrounded by her children. She was born on April 9, 1955 to the late Albert “Banty” and Lucille Myers. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Lilly, brother Wayne Myers, and grandson Frankie Bishop. Elsie was so very kind and loving to everyone she met and touched so many lives with her strength, love and sweet spirit. God truly created a beautiful angel when He created Elsie . She could find the humor in every situation and her smile would spread to everyone around her. Elsie loved to cook (her fried apple pies and peanut butter cookies were regular requests by everyone), she loved to garden, she worked hard and loved even harder. Her family was everything to her.
Those who were blessed to know her understand that the quality of her existence by far exceeds the quantity of time she was on this earth.
Elsie is survived by her children: Christina Bishop and husband Carlos of New Richmond, Wendy Ziliak and husband Ron of Warner Robins, GA, Arnold “Buster” Lilly and wife Eevan of Roanoke, VA, and Amanda Lilly and partner Willie McKinney of New Richmond, grandchildren Candice Jackson and husband Chad of Fanrock, Tanner Cundiff and wife Heather of Warner Robins, GA, Coty Bishop and wife Marissa of New Richmond, Cierra and Dalton Bishop of New Richmond, Brandon Cundiff of Warner Robins, GA, Clairece “Rece” Lilly of Roanoke, VA, and Jacob McKinney of New Richmond, great grandchildren Logan and Micah Jackson of Fanrock. She is also survived by siblings: Roger Myers and wife Denise, Brenda Neece, Albert Myers and wife Mary “Kitty” and Kathy Fralin and husband Chuck, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Service will be Noon on Thursday June 11, 2020, at the Evans-Calfee Funeral Services in Pineville with Chad Jackson officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Lilly-Crews family cemetery in Nimitz, WV. Pallbearers will be her family and friends. Friends may gather from 11am until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
