Edith Rose Poland

 Edith Rose Poland, 92, of Oceana, passed away Friday December 28, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born October 3, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Cecil Pete and Ruby Haris Grossenbacher.

Edith enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and cooking. She spent many years cooking for the Rotary Club. Edith was a  member of the Oceana United Methodist Church where she loved singing in the choir and participating in the prayer chain.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ralph Poland; children, Thomas Poland and his wife, Sandra of Salem VA and Nancy Lawrence and her husband, Steve of Albany GA; grandchildren, Sherri Wright and her husband Justin, Chris Ryan-Lawrence and his husband, Thomas, Angie Carter and her husband, Donald, Sarah Brizenbine and her husband Travis and Andrew Poland; great grandchildren, Colby Wright, Dylan Wright, Ellie Wright, Emily Rose, Rebecca Rose, Elizabeth Rose, Kaitlyn Carter, Mathew Carter, Josh Carter, Kendall Mullins and Noah Ryan-Lawrence.
