Deborah Lenora Conley, 77, of Baileysville, WV, passed away peacefully on Friday September 19th, 2025, at the Bowers Hospice House after a long illness. Debbie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by her caring and selfless spirit. Her love for her family was unconditional. She was the anchor of her family, the steady source of love and strength who held everyone together through every season of life.
Debbie was the daughter of the late Carlton Shields and Velva (Hines) Shields. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Douglas “Bo” Conley. She was a loving mother of her daughter Teresa Blankenship. Debbie cherished and adored her three grandchildren Dewayne Bishop, Todd Bishop, and Cassidee Blankenship, and especially her only great-grandson Brock Bishop.
Debbie was dearly loved and will be missed by her family, friends, and a host of others. Funeral services will be held at Evans-Calfee Funeral Home in Oceana, WV on Friday September 26th at 4pm. Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at the Shannon Cemetery in Baileysville, WV.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the beautiful life Debbie lived and the many hearts she touched. Debbie’s memory will live on in the love of her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her greatest legacy is the way she made sure everyone was taken care of, a sentiment best captured by her favorite saying: "If y'all need anything, just holler."
