David Lee McConnell

David Lee McConnell, 73, of Pineville, passed away on July 24, 2025, after a long illness.  David was born on July 19, 1952, in Camden on Gauley, WV to the late John and Dorothy McConnell. 
In his younger years, David was a coal miner and an outdoorsman.  He was an avid collector of coal mining stickers for over 35 years.  He enjoyed relaxing while watching his favorite tv shows, Law & Order and Gunsmoke, with his dog Lilly always by his side.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica McConnell, and two brothers: John McConnell and Dennis McConnell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-three years, Deborah McConnell, one daughter- Rachael Bailey and her husband Ricky. Two grandchildren: Darrian Workman and Nicole Bailey and her companion Brandon Lycans, one niece- Kimberly McConnell, and a host of extended family and coal mining friends.

In keeping with his wishes, David will be cremated and no service held.
