Obituary
Dallas Muncy at the age of 91, cast off this mortal coil to go home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 6, 2023. Dallas worked hard throughout his his life as a logger, coal miner and small business owner. He was a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather, adoring brother, caring uncle and dear friend to many others. Dallas was known for greeting everyone with a grin and a joke. He was renowned for having boundless stories of the olden days. Even in adversity, he believed in confronting everything with joy and a smile.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, William Sherman and Sarah Horn Muncy, wife Esculine Tiller Muncy, sons Itha Dane Muncy and Terry Michael Muncy, sisters Esculine Muncy, Martha Muncy, Grace Muncy Howard and Avanelle Muncy Harless and brother Benjamin Franklin Muncy.
He is survived by daughter Ilona Stepp and her husband Emerson Timothy, son Gregory Edwin Muncy, siblings Christine Howard, Lawarence Muncy and his wife Shirley, Lacy Muncy and his wife Lil, Carolyn Sue Haddox, John Muncey and his wife Nancy and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rain fall softly upon your fields until we meet again. And may God Hold you in the hollow of his hand. Irish Prayer
