Dale Cook, 96, a lifelong resident of Oceana, passed away on December 29, 2021.
Born October 5, 1925, he was the son of the late Wanna and Willa Dawson Cook.
A veteran of World War II in the United States Navy, Dale served as a Gunner’s Mate in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Ralph Stewart chapter of the SAR and UMWA.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Freda Jo Stepp and brother, Norman Cook.
Dale is survived by his wife of almost seventy-two years, Louise; his children Delores Cook Browning and companion Larry Huffman, Gwen Skidmore and husband Charles, and Richard Cook and wife Deanna; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews, who were very special to him.
