Obituary
Cheryl “Cheri” Lynn Ray Bowen, 66, of Matheny, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Charleston Area Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Born November 14, 1956, in Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Coy Alvin Ray and Leona Mae Privett Ray.
Cheryl worked for the US Postal Service for many years. She was a faithful, longtime member of the Guyandotte Missionary Baptist Church. Spending time with her family made her the happiest. She was a proud Mom and Nana.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Arthie Privett.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of forty and a half years, Richard “ Dick” Bowen; her two children, Jessica Traub and her husband David and Jennifer Atha and her husband Zachary; grandchildren, Savannah Traub and Fiona Atha; siblings Coy Ray Jr. and Becky Arkell and her husband Evan, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members and beloved friends.
