Carl Shawn Parsons

Carl Shawn Parsons, 46, went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2024.  Born on April 2, 1978, Shawn was the son of William Carl “Peewee” Parsons and the late Janet Riffe. An avid outdoorsman, Shawn enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He found relaxation by being on the river in his kayak.  A dedicated man of God and provider for his family, Shawn worked for Nelson Brothers for twenty-three years and attended Sophia Church of God.  Shawn loved WVU football but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents: JL and Addie Riffe, and Virgil and Rita Parsons.  One brother; Michael Parsons, and his father-in-law Bobby Day.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty-four years, Rebecca Parsons. His father, William Carl “Peewee” Parsons and stepmother Debbie Parsons.  Two children, Haleigh Parsons and Nathan Parsons.  One sister, Carla King. His mother-in-law, Judy Day.  Brothers in law, Chris Day and wife Melissa and Jeff Day and wife Mindy.  Nephews: Blake Parsons, Malachi King, Mycha King, and Ethan Day.  Nieces: Kaitlyn Gardner, Sarah Day, Abby Day, Emily Peck, and a host of extended family and friends.
