Brooks Christian Walker

Brooks Christian Walker 80, of Prosperity passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. 

Born in Pineville, West Virginia on April 6, 1942, Brooks was the son of the late Delpha and Velva Walker. 

He spent most of his life in Pineville. Brooks was a loving husband and father and shared his caring and loving heart with all who knew him. So, generous with family and friends, he never failed to offer help and support. Over the years, they frequently opened their home to others who needed a helping hand. 

In addition to his parents, Brooks was preceded in death by his wife Aleita, his sisters Emily Phillips, and Delphine Hill. 

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sonja Brunke of Prosperity, his son Vernon Walker and his wife Erica, of Beaver; his grandchildren, William Brunke and his wife Deanna of Prosperity; James and Madison of Beaver and great grandchildren Jolene and Ben of Prosperity, and his sister Nancy Acord of Pineville. 

The family is planning a private memorial service.
