Bob Eugene Carothers

Bob Carothers 85 of Keyrock, passed away on Saturday March 7, 2020 at his residence.

Born November 19, 1934 at Sabine he was the son of the late Edward Merrill and Charlotte Phoebe Campbell Carothers. 

Bob was a former highway construction worker; he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and was a member of Coon Fork Church in Keyrock for many years. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two children Drema Kay Carothers, and Bobby Dale Carothers, one grandson Baobby Dale Carothers II, and one step daughter Linda (Cox) Cable, 2 step grandchildren Patty Cable and Michael, his brothers and sister George, Alice, Carl, Estil, Orville Carothers, and Delores Bowling.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 59 years Lillie Gladys (Lester) Carothers of Turkey Creek, three grandsons; Ryan Carothers and his wife Chandra of Daniels, Alston and Alex Carothers of Kopperston, a great grandson Zane Carothers of Daniels; two step daughters Ruth O'Neal of Turkey Creek, Jeannie Cook and her husband Tommy of Jesse; step grandchildren James O'Neal, Tammy Morgan, Regina Smallwood, Jamie Cable, and Tammy Brown, 6 step great grandchildren, his brothers and sisters Tommy and Louise Carothers of Rockview, Charlotte and Mike Hafle of Florida, Dorothy White of Virginia, and Helen and Steve Watson of Virginia, a daughter in law Martha Carothers of Kopperston, and a host of extended family and friends. 

Services will be in the chapel of Evans-Calfee in Pineville at 1pm Wednesday March 11, 2020. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Lester Family Cemetery, Keyrock. Pallbearers will be Roger Adkins , Ryan Carothers, Chuckie Ackerson, Robert Privett, RJ Morgan, and Brandon Morgan.

Friends may gather with the family from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
