Obituary

Betty Ann Sheppard Dulcie,87, of Forest Hill, passed away Friday June 30, 2023 at Peyton Hospice in Lewisburg. Born December 15, 1935 in Logan county, she was the daughter of the late John Ed and Bersheba Vance Sheppard.

Betty was a member of the Marianna Freewill Baptist Church. She served her church for years as a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed directing the plays. Betty  worked as an AmeriCorps Vista Worker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Matt Dulcie Sr.; brothers, Virgil Lee Sheppard, John Sheppard, Lewis Sheppard, Tom Estep and George Estep; sisters, Elizabeth Collins and Ellen Blankenship.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Matt Dulcie Jr. of Beckley, John Wade Dulcie and his wife, Debbie of Turkey Creek and Paul Dulcie of Forest Hill; grandchildren, Joshua Wade Dulcie, Jacob Allen Dulcie and Katie Ann Dulcie; great grandchildren, Zayn Allen Dulcie and Hudson Alias Lake Dulcie and her sister, Mary Beth Woodall.
