Benjamin “Ben” Grant Gleason, 63, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 peacefully at his home in Key Rock.
Born October 20, 1957 in Crawfordsville, IN, he was the son of the late William Edward Gleason and Phyllis Jean Allen Gleason.
Ben loved his family dearly and loved living in West Virginia. He was an avid hunter and gun collector. He really enjoyed going to Tudor’s and catching up with everyone. Ben attended Sweet Divine Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, David DeWayne “Perky” Lovins; a grandson, Kyle David Cline; a sister, Linda Walker; and two nephews, Jimmy Walker and Justin Walker.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Linda Lester Gleason; six children, Kimberly Jones and husband, Justin, Samantha Gleason, David Gleason, Christina Walls and husband, Verdis, Jonathon Lovins and Allison Lovins; ten grandchildren, Marissa Paynter and husband, Dakota, Isaac Cline, Dylan Cline, Jayden Delp, Jaxson Delp, Henry Jones, Alexis Browning and husband, Jordan, Courtney Blankenship and husband, Jeff, Ethan Walls and Devan Walls; two great-grandchildren, Easton Paynter and Kylee Paynter; a brother, William Gleason Jr. and wife, Grace and two sisters, Patty Branson and husband, John and Amy Van Gilder and husband, Carl; his best friends Ralph and Cheryl Edwards; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
