Barry Shiflett Obituary

Barry Paul Shiflett, 79, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born August 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Bill Shiflett and Pauline Brooks Shiflett.

Barry was a retired strip mine equipment operator. He also spent many years working with the area youth involved in the 4H program. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and never missed a race. Barry was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay and his only son, Scott Shiflett.

Barry will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Allyson Bolen and her husband, Caleb of Coal City, Nicholas Shiflett of Rockview, Amanda Mullins and her husband, Chris of Pineville and Christopher Stafford and his wife, Sara of Jefferson Township, PA; his great-grandchildren, Charleigh, Ben and Christian Mullins of Pineville; and a very special daughter-in-law and caretaker, Becky Shiflett.
