Barbara Marie (Chambers) Blankenship

Barbara Marie Chambers Blankenship 74. of Glen Rogers entered into the portals of Glory, on January 11. 2020 at her home. 

Born December 27, 1945 in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late William and Faye Tabor Chambers. 

Barbara was a longtime member of Rhema Ministries, where she loved praising the Lord and being with her church family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she dearly loved her family. Barbara loved others, and in return all those that knew her loved her. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Johnny Chambers, and her great-granddaughter Katelyn Rocchi. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 57 years Henry Blankenship, her children Danny Ray Blankenship and his wife Delores of Glen Rogers, Bo Blankenship and his wife Elaine of Mount Vernon Indiana, Alecia Bailey and her husband Danny of Glen Rogers, Frances Lester and husband Curtis of Wyoming, Anyeta Thompson and her husband Charles of Glen Fork, and Henrietta Tiller and her husband Jimmy of Glen Rogers. Her sister Nancy Massey and her husband Gene of Rockview, 15 grandchildren and 37 great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends, and church family. 

Services will be Thursday January 16, 2020 at 1pm in the chapel of Evans-Calfee Funeral Service in Pineville with Pastor Jonathon Cresong officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinegrove Cemetery. 

Friends may gather with the family from 11am until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
