Aubrey Clinton Shaw

Aubrey Clinton Shaw, 73, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

He was born January 24, 1951, to the late Martha Clearly Shaw and Grover Howard Shaw Sr.

Aubrey was a 1969 graduate of Gary High School and a US Army veteran. An Avid Steelers fan, he also enjoyed working on model cars and watching NASCAR. He loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them. Aubrey loved the Lord, and trusted in him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal McCoy; his longtime companion, Debra Howell; and two brothers, Jimmy, and Grover Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Sabrina Prater and husband Scott, Marty Brown and husband Tree and Tabiatha Gilley; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Forest and husband Al and Brenda Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

In keeping with is wishes, Aubrey will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to give a special thank you to caretaker, Katherine (Kat) Nelson for the excellent care she provided throughout the years.
