Obituary
Annis Lea Stewart Cook, 85, of Alderson, formerly of Matheny, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 at CAMC. Born April 11, 1938 in Matheny, she was the daughter of the late Paris and Mabel Walker Stewart.
Annis was the founder of Ann’s Chapel in Matheny. She enjoyed taking care of her home and her family. Annis loved attending church when she was able.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Denver Lusk; daughter, Brenda Lafferty; son Michael “Little Michael” Lusk and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Glen; daughter, Debra Cook; grandchildren, Tara Cook and Michael Paul Lafferty; great- grandson, John Cook; brother, Leonard Stewart and his wife, Teresa; her very special caregivers, Kim Maddy and James Kish and her beloved dog, Candy Leann.
