Allen Stone

Allen Stone, 88, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was a very friendly man that could strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing but most of all, spending time with his friends and family. He worked many years as a coal miner.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine; children, Darrell Stone, Rita “Susie” Faye Blankenship; grandchildren, Jeremy Fain and Mark Allen Stone; great-grandchild, Adyne Cooper; several brothers and sisters; and his special friend, Ellen Lambert.

He will be greatly missed by his son, Allen U. “Peanut” Stone and wife, Linda of Matheny and Dorothy Lynn Bowyer of Matheny; grandchildren, Jennifer Stone, Salena Pritt, Danny Cooper Jr, Joshua Fain, Hayden Lusk and James “J.D.” Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Logan, Chloe, Emma, Mikey, Peyton, Conner, Brentley, Aleah, Grayson and Huntlee; great-great grandchildren, Blake and Emma; and a host of extended family and friends.
